Hi!
My name is Martina and I started this blog in October 2012 in order to have a place where I can talk about and share all the things that inspire me. I love fashion, art, architecture, interior design, films, books... and the list goes on! I'm also quite a creative person and I've always loved writing, so I finally thought: why not?
Why the name 'Third Culture Cool'? I'm quite proud of the fact that I'm a 'third culture kid' - I come from Prague but I've lived in Canada, Finland, Scotland and the Netherlands. After obtaining a BA in English and Film & Media from the University of Stirling and an MA in Arts and Heritage from Maastricht University, I came back 'home', to Prague. However, I'm still trying to get used to living here as I had spent 7 years abroad prior to my return - I guess you can call this a reverse culture shock. This feeling was another aspect which made me want to start a blog - I can now discuss things that I miss about countries I love. Being a third culture kid isn't always easy, but, at the same time, it's something which is an integral part of who I am.
I write in English because that's what comes naturally to me. But you can contact me in French or Czech as well!
